Naas Courthouse

My experience so far in Naas Court has been ELECTRIC! I'm loving the atmosphere- the courts are very sombre and professional, and the judges are very interesting people, and then the office gang are fantastic! They're so welcoming and helpful, and really help me to feel like one of the team by giving me jobs that make me feel more responsible :D I like observing the proceedings in court, because I really have an interest in a career in law, and the district and circuit court trials are giving me a wonderful insight into the goings- on of the Irish legal system.

My time at the pharmacy has really showed me how interesting being a chemist can be! I love dispensing prescriptions and dealing with customers, and i really feel as if I'm a valued member of a lovely team!

Work Experience Take 2

So, after a few weeks of being sick, I have begun my second work experience placement! I am working in a pharmacy in Celbridge, and I'm really enjoying it so far. Already I feel like I'm a valued member of the team!

14th November

In work experience this week, I got to see my first x- ray. The poor Labrador was hit by a car, and she had a fractured pelvis. Another dog was spayed, and she was very confused when she woke up- as soon as she came to her senses, she cried a lot. A bit of good old TLC saw her right, though :)

This week at the vet's, I was helping to take blood from a Dalmatian. He was very nervous, but we managed to get the phial in the end! I also met a lovely kitten called Betty, who was just 8 weeks old.

Week One at the Vet's

Hello everyone! My first day of work experience was on Wednesday. I have a placement at a veterinary clinic in Naas. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left, I felt like a part of the team. I sat in on consultations and even got to observe an operation! Every minute was exciting, as I always had something to do. And the nurses said that was a quiet day! I am ecstatic about going back next week... :-)

The First One...

So, I am due to make my break (sort of) into the world of work on the 26th of September, at a veterinary clinic in Naas. I'm ecstatic- looking after animals will be so humbling, and hopefully I will grow to understand the everyday goings on in a vet's...
